Nokia 810 wimax:

Nokia 810 wimax:
Only a few years ago India got known to the world of Wifi. Even today
we don't have enough Wifi hotspots in our country.well the obvious
reasons for this situation is that no one wants to give free internet in
the country. As we are slowly switching to Wifi, United States Of
Americahas again come up with another good technology,The Wimax.
Wimax does not differ from wifi in many areas but is easy to install and
costs less thanwifi. That means good to us as we adapt to cheaper
technologies than the expensive ones. Why I stress so much on Wimax?
Well as wimax has been eshtablished to a decent extent in america, a
phone has also been released to support wimax. Well it is none other
than the nokia N810. nokia n810 was initially released in USA to
support wifi. This is just another phone with decent featueres. It has a
whopping 4.1 inch screen,a qwerty keyboard and a navigation wheel,
a VGA camera to support blogging besides other ordinary featues of
today's phones. Well that sounds great doesn't that? Hope this phone
atleast releases in india. Most probably it will release by the end of this
year in India. Why do I say that? Well the reason I say that is because
Wimax is going to hit India in a huge way in coming months courtesy
Tata. Tata is all set to launch the Tata Wimax in India as early as
September,2008 which is great news for Internet surfers. Though Wifi
didn't find great support in India, Wimax will surely find its feet in India.

HTC Cruise - Another iphone killer?

HTC Cruise - Another iphone killer?

HTC is a korean company that has been famous for its windows mobiles. Their last offering the HTC Diamond began its sales in India and then started to come in other markets including United States of America. HTC Diamond was sold excusively through Airtel Markets. It was a touch enabled phone with Windows mobile as the operating system. It also had the touch Flo technology similar to the iphone but not in the implementation. It was a great smart phone. Now HTC has launched the HTC Touch Cruise, A touch phone with great features just like its predeccessors. This handset looks stylish and has great features. It has a 2.8 inch screen with Touch Flo technology. Also it uses the windows Mobile 6.0 which is great news for business users. It comes preinstalled with Tom Tom GPS Navigation system which can used in selected places. It has a 3Mp camera in the back and a VGA camera in the front for Video Calling. All in all it is a Great Phone. It is however priced at Rs.33000 which is a little expensive for this phone. I give this phone 3.5 out of 5 considering its high price and great features.

SAMSUNG i450 - REVIEW

+ Samsung rumored to launch i450 - Symbian S60 phone!

Samsung's attempt to clone N95
and its dual slider form factor!
Samsung i450

Folks over at Samsung developing labs are very busy and pretty productive nowadays as we got lot of new S60 phones from them lately. There is no doubt that Samsung working on some truly interesting S60 mobile phones for a future release, phones like recently spotted, i550 and i570.

Actually, it just seems that they must have realized they wasted time too much, they bought and paid license for Nokia S60 platform and they should start to use it and make some money from it.

Anyway, we have already seen a photo of the tinny, stylish and attractive phone spotted as Samsung i450 but without any further info unfortunately.

Now, thanks to the few more official press photos of Samsung SGH-i450 that are available from mobil.idnes.cz and the basic specificati0ons as well I can say that i450 going to be even the most attractive phone in the Samsung S60 family.

Speaking of the Samsung the most interesting thing is the form factor, phone is the Nokia N95 clone as it featuring a similar dual sliding design incorporated in a bit different way.

Instead of a media player control buttons like we have on a N95, when you slide the i450 in other way it reveals a pretty huge and impressive speaker I hope with impressive sound and strong bass as well.

Samsung i450

The rumors have this pegged as a GSM Triband handset with a UTMS and HSDPA data connection. There's a 2-megapixel camera as well as a video call camera on the front and a 2.3-inch 256k colour screen. Apart from that the unconfirmed spec states it's got Bluetooth, a microSD card slot and a 1GB internal memory.

Samsung i450

To sum up, i450 is the real Nokia N95 clone with pretty good specification list but still can’t compete to powerful smart beast like N95 is, it simply dose it all and i450 lacks lot of N95 features and some things like 2 mpx cam are pretty outdated. Last but not less important it will be even more inferior to amazing Nokia N95 8GB that will be announced in next few days.

Samsung i450

Sure because of the style, design and very well known Samsung’s build quality it will be huge competition to Nokia’s midrange S60 phones and if it is their intension it will be successful story but if their intension is to attack on N95 I am afraid that they have failed miserably.

Samsung i450As usually, there is sure sugar on the end. The most interesting thing, actually to be honest the only thing that I am interesting in is the quality of the sliding mechanism.

I think that most of you will agree with me that Samsung makes the best sliders, the quality is unquestionable and therefore I am really interesting in their fist dual slider.

Nokia has failed to keep the quality and most oh the lately released smartphones have some flaw; Nokia N76 is the perfect example. Speaking of the Nokia N95 the slider simply isn’t as good as it should be, they have failed in design and used materials, tinny plastic rails aren’t the best possible choice for the such an expensive smartphone.

The slider is wobbly in all direction in all positions and it becoming even worse wit time. Sure this is the first phone on the world that features dual sliding form factor but it is not excuse and therefore I am so much interesting in first Samsung dual slider.

I'm pretty sure that quality will be outstanding and that Nokia engineers will have to put it on the table and learn something from them, unfortunately I am afraid to late for the Nokia N95 8 GB or the N95 US.

That’s all for now, I’ve put some effort to make an interesting article from few press photos and I hope that I didn’t failed like Nokia with some of the latest smartphones.
